Katie Drummond is the global editorial director for WIRED, overseeing content across all platforms and leading editorial teams in Italy, Japan, Mexico, the U.K and U.S. Before assuming her role at WIRED, Drummond led the global expansion of VICE News across Latin America, Europe, and Asia, and oversaw all VICE digital brands. Prior to that, she served as deputy editor at Medium, managing editor at The Verge, deputy editor for Bloomberg.com, executive editor at The Outline, and editor in chief of Gizmodo. She began her career as a reporter, writing for The New Republic, New York Magazine, Popular Science, Marie Claire, and WIRED, where she covered military research and medicine for WIRED’s Danger Room blog.
